Upper lip hair!?

ok, this is probably the 3905938502938 question regarding this, but i still have to ask. I have always had a little hair on my upper lip, so I bleached it. That worked until recently. I used one of those facial peel off masks and some hair came off. The hair that eventually grew back was thicker, it's disgusting. I looked up laser removal, and it doesn't really seem like an option for me. My skin is too dark.

I'm scared that if i wax, my hair would grow back thicker, like it did with the mask. Do you think this would happen? and are there any more ways for hair removal that wouldn't make it worse?

im east indian and oh dear do we go through hell with all the unwanted facial hair, i've tried waxing, laser, electrolysis...and pretty much everything, nothings really worked too well for me but everyones hair type is different. The only thing that actually worked personally is threading... (done with a string and it pulls all the hairs out) Its pretty painful at first but you get useto it. It completely removes all the hairs ! Hope you find something that works :)

my freind has this problem and she waxes...it works for her..idk the brand but she just went to walmart and bought a hair removal thing for that..you could always try that first, since its inexpensive.

(she doesnt have any problems with it coming back thicker)

wax the hair off, the repeated ripping out of the hair will thin it not thicken.

oh i hav the same problem - and i have dark brown hair imagine that! and i didnt get rid of it till like, 9th grade!

well, anyway, my mom does mine - she does it with a thread, i dont know how, but the hair comes out! lol, but it hurts, but then u get used to it

Electrolysis will permanently remove unwanted hair. Electrolysis is the "removal of unwanted hair from the body by destroying the hair roots with an electrified needle."

It is an expensive procedure, but if it is bothering you, you may want to look into it. Do a search for the word electrolysis and it will bring up (probably) millions of sites to peruse. Or, check with a dermatologist in your neighborhood and ask for estimated prices.

(There used to be some form of this sold in stores for consumers to purchase for home use. I bought one (it was $300.00 at that time!) and tried it. It seemed to work, but it was VERY TIME CONSUMING. You will have to be dedicated to do this yourself. (I wasn't! Sigh.)

My aunt does electrolysis. Its permanent, and she charges 30 bucks for a 30 minute session. It might take a few 30 min sessions, but its alot cheaper than having to buy wax or creme for the next 40 years or so. And you don't have to worry about it ever again, like when you are 70 and can't see. No more hairy old lady lip. lol.

i think you should wax. and then it'll grow back yes, but after you wax for a while, regularly it'll start to become better and wont grow back as much :]
